Simphiwe Buthelezi

Simphiwe Buthelezi is a South African installation artist and sculptor known for using traditional Zulu materials like hand-woven reed mats and seed beads to explore African spirituality, cultural memory, and materiality. Born in 1996 in Benoni, she earned a Fine Art diploma from the University of Johannesburg in 2017 and has since exhibited internationally, including in Paris and Cape Town, blending craftsmanship with spiritual inquiry in her evolving practice.
