Ingrid de Kok is a respected South African poet known for her reflective, lyrical work exploring memory, relationships, and social realities, with acclaimed collections such as Familiar Ground and Terrestrial Things.

Antjie Krog is one of South Africa’s most prominent literary figures, an Afrikaans poet, journalist, and academic whose writing engages deeply with identity, language, and the country’s political history; she is widely known for Country of My Skull and has received numerous major awards, including the Hertzog Prize.

Fiona Moodie is a South African author and illustrator celebrated for her richly detailed children’s books that often depict local landscapes and natural life. Together, they created Vetplantfeetjies, a beautiful picture book in which children (and adults) discover the world of local succulents through Afrikaans rhymes, celebrating South Africa’s remarkable plant diversity, with each illustrated page including both the Afrikaans and scientific names of the plants.
