To celebrate the opening morning of this year’s Toyota Stellenbosch Woordfees, the Stellenbosch Art Mile invites you to take your place at something truly special: the completion of a collective artwork on a 50 meter tablecloth. With seasonal floral installations serving as inspiration in color, texture, and form, plus professional artists to guide and assist, participants are invited to paint, draw, and playfully contribute to a shared visual story.

Experience the Stellenbosch Art Mile through a slower, more sensory encounter with art, ecology, and place. This year’s exhibition, Entangled Ground, explores community as a living ecology – a network of water, soil, plants, animals, materials, weather conditions and human presence. This guided walk invites festival-goers to listen, look, touch, pause and observe. Through the temporary and permanent artworks and interactive installations along the route, the art mile becomes a space for curiosity and connection.

Join us on Thursday 6 August at 17h00 for an Artist Talk on the Stellenbosch Art Mile with artist Ledelle Moe, as part of Stellenbosch First Thursdays.
Meet at EXPLODED GEOGRAPHIES IV, opposite Oevertuyn (3 Noordwal-Wes Road), where Ledelle will share the story behind her monumental installation before leading. (In the event of rain, please still meet at the artwork; from there, the group will move together to a nearby indoor setting.)
